Opéra de Paris, France
- Anselm Kiefer, Am Anfang, World Premiere, 2009
Commissioned by the Opéra national de Paris on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the Opéra Bastille, Am Anfang (‘In the beginning’) is a musical production realised by acclaimed Anselm Kiefer, internationally acclaimed painter and sculptor. Anselm Kiefer conceived the entire production, from costumes and sets to staging. He collaborated with the composer Jörg Widmann for the music. It was under Anselm Kiefer’s recommendation that an international press campaign was planned. We were hired as the official agency promoting the world premiere across the European press. Articles appeared in major publications across the continent. Am Anfang was presented over seven performances from 7 to 14 July 2009 at the Bastille Opera. It was the first time in the Bastille Opera history that a work took place on all of the venue’s stages as well as the back stage area.
