The CNA on France 24
Last week, France 24 profiled the new platform for photography launched by the CNA in Luxembourg.
Broadcasted on the channel's daily Culture Show, the report focused on the CNA's two newly renovated ex-industrial buildings the Château d’Eau (water tower) and Pomhouse (pumphouse). Both buildings now form an important space for international photography.
As part of the Culture show both the CNA Director Jean Back and Luxembourg Secretary of State for Culture Octavie Modert were interviewed. They talked about the development of the cultural scene in the town of Dudelange, where the CNA is situated.
Currently on display is the work of British artist Stephen Gill, who was commissioned to create a collection especially for the CNA’s opening. The exhibition, entitled Co-existence, runs until 10 February. Visit the exhibition minisite for more information.
The Bitter Years, a historic collection of Great Depression-era photographs curated by Edward Steichen, former Director of Photography at MoMA in New York, is part of the permanent collection, and on permanent display in the Château d’Eau.
