Picasso, Miró and Dalí: From Modernism to the Avant Garde

On Wednesday 23 November, you are invited to a special conference at the Orangerie in Paris, dedicated to three of the greatest artists from Spain: Picasso, Miró and Dalí. The conference will be led by Pablo Jiménez Burillo, director of l'Instituto de Cultura, FUNDACIÓN MAPFRE, Madrid.

At the turn of the 20th century, Picasso, Miró et Dalí played a major role in the genesis of 'modern art' in Spain. During the first two decades of the 20th century in Spain, many artistic tendencies coexist: Modernism, Regionalism, Noucentisme, Avant-garde, etc. Picasso, Miró and Dalí are influenced by many of them, transforming not only the Spanish art, but also the universal art of the 20th century.
