LOOKING FOR A Head of Marketing & Communications IN SYDNEY

This is a rare opportunity to join the Australian Museum as Head of Marketing & Communications for a 12-month maternity leave contract. The Museum is at an exciting time in its evolution with a new Director, transformational development works underway and significant plans for the future expansion of the Museum.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Development, Communications and Marketing, this role leads the development and implementation of the Australian Museum’s Marketing & Communications strategy to increase attendance, revenues and awareness, and to enhance the Museum’s brand. The role leads the Marketing & Communications branch to deliver effective marketing, media and brand campaigns, tourism initiatives, publications and external and internal communications.

Requirements
As the successful candidate, you will hold relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrate significant experience managing a team of specialists to deliver all aspects of marketing and communications. You will have a track record of developing and implementing marketing strategies to achieve KPIs across revenue, attendance, awareness and brand.

Your outstanding project management skills will be utilised to deliver simultaneous, complex and multi-dimensional projects with competing demands. In addition, you will bring to this role a comprehensive understanding of best practice marketing and communications and an ability to overcome challenges in order to achieve goals and objectives.
