Jersey Walking Week launches
This September, experience the beautiful island of Jersey whilst taking in panoramic views and wonderful autumnal colours during the Autumn Walking Week. The event runs from 15-22 September.
Enjoy the full free programme of countryside, coastal and history walks with some of the Island’s most experienced and respected guides, including the highlight of the week – the ‘Around Island Walk’.
For the last ten years Jersey Tourism has organised a series of Walking Weeks in spring and autumn, with a programme consisting of almost 40 walks, all of which are free of charge. The event receives more than 1000 participants over both of the Walking Weeks and provides the opportunity to discover a different side to the Island. Private access has even been granted on some routes, offering spectacular vistas that you wouldn’t ordinarily see in a vehicle.
Whether you choose to venture along the dizzying heights of the north coast cliffs, stroll down shady lanes to picturesque villages or take a laid-back seaside jaunt, without doubt it’s the best way to uncover the real heart of Jersey.
For more information on the variety of trails available you can visit the Jersey website or request the 2012 festival programme now.
