Europalia China Portrait of the Emperor

Europalia.China is now open

Among the many events being held in Belgium to celebrate China for this year’s Europalia, don't miss four major exhibitions.

Travel through time at the Palais des Beaux Arts with Son of Heaven, the history of eternal China, presenting for the first time some 250 masterpieces from the six provinces of China and the Forbidden City. See works by contemporary artists Ai Weiwei from China and Luc Tuymans come together in the State of Things.

Follow The Silk Road to explore Chinese culture at the Parc du Cinquantenaire. Don't forget to stop at the Tea house. Finally, try out Chinese calligraphy at the Orchid Pavilion staged at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.

From 8 October 2009 to 14 February 2010.
