The Melbourne museum tours and showcases are included in the registration fee. However, delegates are responsible for organising their own travel and accommodation. We hope to have a Melbourne hotel partner confirmed shortly.
Sunday 9 November: WELCOME TO MELBOURNE
Delegates travelling to Melbourne will enjoy an extensive museum itinerary with a variety of workshops and masterclasses at each venue, in addition to exclusive curatorial tours of current exhibitions.
Guided tour of the State Library of Victoria
Last day to discover this unique exhibition dedicated to Victor Hugo’s masterpiece Les Misérables and to the manifold adaptations that have stemmed from literature to cinema and the performing arts. The tour will highlight the development of a strong cultural collaboration between Australia and France, which resulted in exceptional loans from the Bibliothèque Nationale, Maisons de Victor Hugo, Musée Rodin and Musée Carnavalet – Histoire de la Ville de Paris.

Cathedrals of Culture is a documentary that asks, "if buildings could talk what would they tell us?" Reception and viewing of 'First Peoples', Melbourne Museum’s award-winning and internationally acclaimed exhibition telling the story of the cultural richness and resilience of Victoria’s Aboriginal communities.
First Peoples is a shared endeavour of Museum Victoria and the Victorian Aboriginal community. The Yulendj Group of Elders and community representatives worked closely with museum staff, bringing knowledge, stories and culture to guide the exhibition’s development.
