Monumenta 2011 Grand Palais, France
- Anish Kapoor, 2011
International press campaign – 10 May to 23 June 2011
Each year Monumenta invites an internationally renowned artist to transform the Grand Palais in Paris with a new, site-specific artwork. Anish Kapoor was the selected artist in 2011, taking on the challenge of filling the vast, 13,500m², 35m high space. His response was the gigantic artwork Leviathan. Having successfully managed international PR for Monumenta 2010, featuring the celebrated artist Christian Boltanski, we were selected once again in 2011. We secured coverage on Leviathan across a range of international media, including BBC Radio 4’s Front Row, New York Times (US), El Pais (ES), De Morgen, NRC Handelsblatt, De Volkskrant (NL), Die Süddeutsche Zeitung, Die Welt (DE), Il Corriera della Serra, La Repubblica (IT), Le Soir, Le Temps (BE), Easyjet Inflight Traveller magazine, the Wall Street Journal, the Sunday Times, The Guardian and the Independent (UK).
